CUSTOMER'S PHOTOS

This A-2 Jacket has been done in the 393rd Bomb Squadron, 509th Composite Group, 20th Army Air Force. I have done all patches with leather sewing rings. Name strip tag is in antique stain. I did not do the Captains bars... but it's something I've been looking into. The 393rd patch, is slightly modified as per client. The original patch has only a hint of a B-29 bomber in the dragon's claws... (white outline)...and the 500lbs. bombs are also a white outline shapes under the arms of the dragon. The client requested a rendering of the B-29 "Bockscar" in the claws of the dragon... and more realistic bombs under the arms of the dragon to which I did. The client had the nose art of "Bockscar" painted on the back of the jacket, which, with all the other patches on the jacket... blended quite well with the painted nose art theme.

Here's a photo of an A-2 jacket made of gaberdine material, with the 47th Bombardment Squadron patch attached. I believe that this jacket is a new line from "AERO Manufacturing". Looks like it has the same lines as the original leather A-2 jacket... but at half the price. Pretty cool!

Check out the 57th Fighter Group Association's website. Lots of wartime photos, including those of Capt. Lovick's photos as well.
